But Mitchell is a master and his command of language is entrancing. My 8 year-old son was fascinated by this book and so am I. After reading it, he asked me if there are any more like it by the author. I'm going to see if I can find out. It is too bad there aren't more books like this one for children. The illustrator Megan Lloyd has produced beautiful artwork, but she is not as good as William Low (Old Penn Station).
